Your startup must be an early-stage venture:
If your company is already established it must not be older than five years at the time of application.
If your company is not yet established you can incorporate it during the application process — we'll guide you through registering your startup in the Region of Murcia.
Your business must be, or commit to being, located in the Region of Murcia for the incubation period.
ESA BIC Region of Murcia is the place to be — linking you to the national and international players across the space sector and a thriving regional ecosystem.
The business must be a solid venture or space-related technology, idea or application. The connection can be categorised as either Downstream or Upstream:
Downstream: the business applies or exploits space data and technology in other sectors (agriculture, environment, mobility, health, connectivity, etc.).
Upstream: technologies and systems developed for use in space (sensors, components, software for space missions, and so on).
You need a sound, clear and viable business plan, outlining your strategy for growth. The market potential of your product or service, and how your space connection will be capitalised, should be defined — together with realistic financial projections, key milestones and the management strategy.
Your team must be fully committed to engaging with the ESA BIC Region of Murcia programme throughout the incubation period, taking part in mentoring, reviews and milestones, and making the most of the resources provided.
Always start here. It is highly recommended to contact ESA BIC Region of Murcia to discuss your application and learn about the support we provide — ideally well before you submit. We'll help you shape a much stronger proposal.
Confirm your startup meets the eligibility criteria for ESA BIC Region of Murcia. See the Who can apply section above for the full details.

Download the application packageFill in the application forms and prepare the supporting material. It is strongly recommended that you carefully read the provided documents.
Make sure to thoroughly review all supporting documents, particularly the ESA BIC Region of Murcia incubation contract. This document is essential to understand the terms, obligations and benefits of joining, and you can familiarise yourself with it in advance.
Submit the required application documents to the ESA BIC Region of Murcia team. Once everything is in order, submit your documents to the official email address indicated in the application package. Since the call is always open, you can submit whenever your application is ready.
After submitting, your application is reviewed by ESA and the Region of Murcia committee on technical merit, business viability and space relevance. Shortlisted applicants present their project, and selected startups receive their ESA BIC incubation certificate.
With your incubation certificate, you can apply for regional co-funding through the corresponding institutions of the Region of Murcia. Our team guides you through the steps and helps you prepare the documentation needed to access the available support.
Once your approval is final, you sign the incubation contract with ESA BIC Region of Murcia. From there, the programme officially begins — and you start growing your space venture with our full support.
